“We are now able to respond to the demand that we have received and offer Dossia to companies outside of the Founder group”
“Since making the Dossia open Applications Programming Interface (API) publicly available in June of last year, we have received a great amount of interest from health and wellness solution companies who want to integrate their products with the Dossia Personal Health Platform,” said Steve Munini, Dossia COO. “We are very pleased to be able to continuously increase the value of the Dossia Personal Health Platform to individuals by adding new Personal Health Applications that help individuals manage their healthcare and achieve their health goals.”
Dossia also announced today that the organization will now be offering the Dossia Personal Health Platform to companies outside the original Founder community as a Software-as-a-Service package. The company is also currently in the process of developing a package for small to medium sized businesses, which Dossia hopes to be able to start offering later this year.
“We are now able to respond to the demand that we have received and offer Dossia to companies outside of the Founder group,” said Colin Evans, Dossia CEO. “Dossia continues to forge lasting partnerships with leading Personal Health Applications and to connect to major health care players, and it is through these partnerships that we are able to deliver valuable solutions to employers and employees.”
In the first quarter of 2010, Dossia announced that nearly half of the company’s Founders, including Walmart, Intel, Pitney Bowes and Vanguard Health Systems, had offered the Dossia Personal Health Record to their employees. Dossia also expects the remaining Founding members to begin to offer Dossia to their employees before the end of 2010.
