Boyer Coffee Company Names Mark Goodman Chief Executive Officer and President

DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Boyer Coffee Company, established in 1965 and a premier Colorado-based roaster and distributor of fine coffees, announced today that Mark Goodman has been appointed Chief Executive Officer and President.

Prior to joining Boyer Coffee Company, Mr. Goodman served as a top executive in leading public and private companies, including private equity backed companies, such as McDonald's, Sam's Club/Wal*Mart, and Save-A-Lot.

About Boyer's Coffee Company

William Boyer, Sr. established Boyer Coffee in 1965 as a family-owned business. Soon after founding the company, he bought a vintage roaster and began making his own alterations. Boyer Sr. found that roasting in Colorado's high altitude created what he believed to be a superior flavor, which he attributed to less humidity and lower roasting temperatures. In 1976, Boyer Sr. purchased an historic schoolhouse on North Washington Street in Denver and changed the name of the company from Office Coffee to Boyer Coffee Company, Inc. Soon after, he converted the schoolhouse into a 26,000-square-foot roasterie stretching nearly 2.1 acres. The schoolhouse roasterie contains the administration offices, a brewing equipment service area, a packaging facility, three roasters, a green (raw coffee) bean warehouse, and a newly renovated store front with a community meeting area and outside patio.
