ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--For the second time in six months, Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P. has hired a lawyer with extensive experience in construction law in its St. Louis office.
“I have long admired the work of Fulbright’s lawyers and the positive results they have obtained for their clients”
Timothy J. Walsh joins Fulbright as a partner in its Litigation Department from SNR Denton, where he focused on construction, real estate development and commercial litigation matters. Walsh worked closely with Fulbright partner Joseph Colagiovanni in SNR Denton’s construction practice group prior to Colagiovanni’s arrival to Fulbright earlier this year.
“Tim has established a reputation for handling both litigation and transactional matters in construction law,” said Steven B. Pfeiffer, the Chair of Fulbright’s Executive Committee. “We have invested in building our construction law practice in St. Louis, and these highly skilled lawyers will provide excellent service to our U.S. and international clients.”
Walsh represents owners and developers in public and private construction projects, including energy and power plant facilities, condominium and multifamily residential housing developments, hotels and shopping centers. Walsh’s experience also includes the prosecution and defense of construction-related issues, including design and construction defects, breach of contract, as well as architectural and engineering design errors and omissions.
“I have long admired the work of Fulbright’s lawyers and the positive results they have obtained for their clients,” Walsh said. “I believe that my experience in construction law can strengthen this expanding practice, and I look forward to contributing to this team.”
Walsh has handled litigation matters in state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels and has arbitration and mediation experience through the American Arbitration Association. He advises clients involved in ongoing construction projects with respect to preservation of contract claims and defenses along with best practices for preparing impending dispute resolution.
“Tim’s construction disputes experience will benefit our clients around the globe,” said Otway Denny, the Chair of Fulbright’s Litigation Department. “The international demand for this type of legal advice has increased, particularly in the Middle East, and we expect Tim to be a valuable resource to these clients.”
Walsh received his J.D. from Washington University and his B.A. from University of Missouri-Columbia. He is admitted to practice law in the states of Missouri and Illinois as well as before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois.
