Natural Gas Partners Announces the Promotion of Roy A. Aneed, Chris G. Carter, Tomas Ackerman and Brian A. Minnehan to Managing Director

IRVING, Texas--()--Natural Gas Partners (“NGP”), a leading private equity firm in the natural resources industry, is pleased to announce that Roy A. Aneed, Chris G. Carter, Tomas Ackerman and Brian A. Minnehan have been promoted from Principal to Managing Director effective immediately.

Prior to joining NGP in 2007, Mr. Aneed was a Senior Associate with Graham Partners where he focused on evaluating private equity investment opportunities in high growth, middle market industrial businesses. He was also an Analyst with Citigroup’s Investment Banking group in New York. Mr. Aneed was promoted to Principal with NGP in 2010 and focuses on NGP’s efforts in sourcing investments, transaction analysis and execution as well as the monitoring of active portfolio companies. Mr. Aneed received a B.S. in Economics in 2001 from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Carter completed NGP’s Associate program in 2006 and returned to NGP in 2008 as a Senior Associate. He was promoted to Principal in 2010. Mr. Carter concentrates on NGP’s efforts in sourcing investments, transaction analysis and execution as well as the monitoring of active portfolio companies. Prior to rejoining NGP, Mr. Carter was an Associate with McKinsey & Company during the summer of 2007. He was also an Analyst with Deutsche Bank’s Energy Investment Banking group in Houston. Mr. Carter received a B.B.A. and an M.P.A in Accounting in 2002 from the University of Texas at Austin, and an M.B.A. in 2008 from Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Mr. Ackerman joined NGP in 2002. During his three years as an Associate, he was heavily involved in several significant NGP investments including Energy Transfer Partners, L.P. and Eagle Rock Energy Partners, L.P., where he worked during the summer of 2006. Mr. Ackerman returned to NGP in 2007 as a Senior Associate and was promoted to Principal in 2010. Mr. Ackerman is located in NGP’s Houston office where he focuses on NGP’s efforts in sourcing investments, transaction analysis and execution as well as the monitoring of active portfolio companies. He received a B.A. in Finance in 2002 from The University of Texas at Austin and an M.B.A. in 2007 from Harvard Business School.

Mr. Minnehan joined NGP in 2007. He served as a Principal for NGP Midstream & Resources, L.P. until 2010 when he moved to the Natural Gas Partners team. Prior to joining NGP, Mr. Minnehan was a director for Prudential Capital Group from 2004 to 2007 where he was responsible for sourcing, analyzing, structuring and monitoring private debt investment across all sectors of the energy industry. His previous tenures include Rothschild, Inc. and Arthur Andersen. In his role as Managing Director, Capital Markets, Mr. Minnehan will focus on capital sourcing for both portfolio companies and funds across the entire NGP platform as well as sourcing, analyzing, executing and monitoring the firm’s investments. Mr. Minnehan received a B.B.A. and an M.P.A. in Accounting in 1996 from the University of Texas at Austin and an M.B.A. in 2002 from Harvard Business School.
