Don Francisco's Adds Artissimo to Its Super Premium Coffee Line

LOS ANGELES--()--Don Francisco's Coffee, one of the leading coffee retail brands in Southern California and among the top 10 nationally, today announced the launch of Artissimo, a new exclusive super premium coffee created using the best Arabica beans from micro-lots in Costa Rica’s Central Valley. Artissimo Costa Rica is a medium to dark roast and is so exclusive that it will only be available in specially-designed 9-ounce bags (SRP $5.99) at Albertsons grocery stores in California and Bashas’ grocery stores in Arizona.

“The success of Family Reserve demonstrates that consumers, especially the discerning foodie segment, appreciate great tasting coffee and demand the kind of quality that Artissimo and our Don Francisco’s line delivers every time.”

“As an extension of our Family Reserve line, which we proudly launched in 2010, Artissimo takes super premium coffee to another level,” said Michael Gaviña, purchasing manager and licensed Q Grader for F. Gaviña & Sons, Inc. “The success of Family Reserve demonstrates that consumers, especially the discerning foodie segment, appreciate great tasting coffee and demand the kind of quality that Artissimo and our Don Francisco’s line delivers every time.”

Carefully selected by Michael Gaviña, Artissimo is a single source coffee, originating in Costa Rica’s Central Valley. This particular area in Costa Rica is known for its favorable volcanic soil and climate, producing excellent coffee with a rich chocolaty flavor. Perfectly roasted to enhance the coffee’s natural characteristics, Artissimo offers a clean cup with a pleasant aftertaste, and unlike standard Costa Rican coffees, provides a heavier body that’s particularly evident in its milk chocolate finish.

To mark the launch of Artissimo and to appeal to the ever-growing foodie market, Don Francisco’s Coffee is launching “Artissimo’s Cooking and Coffee Sweepstakes” where one Grand Prize winner will win a three-day trip to a city of their choice to participate in a MasterChef course at the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu culinary school, as well as $500 in spending cash.
