Panish Shea & Boyle LLP Sponsors Fashion For Hope Event Benefiting Children’s Hospital Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Panish Shea & Boyle LLP announced today that it is sponsoring the Fashion for Hope event organized by its former client, Sandra Mercado. The event takes place on November 11, 2012, at the Castaways Restaurant in Burbank, California, and its proceeds will benefit Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

In 2008, Sandra Mercado suffered devastating injuries after the Sea-Doo watercraft she was standing next to suddenly exploded. Sandra, who was 13 at the time of the explosion, was left visually impaired by the incident and also suffered significant facial injuries. Three other children also suffered serious physical injuries in the event.

As a result of Sandra’s injuries, she has spent years going to doctors and other health care providers for treatment. Because of her own experiences, Sandra wanted to make sure that other children who suffer injuries or other health problems can get the medical care that they need. She decided to organize an event to benefit the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. All of the children injured in the Sea-Doo explosion are participating in the fundraiser.
